Still less than it is here (Hat Tip: Jack W via Daily Standard).

This is not photo shopped, it is the most expensive gas in Washington. The station is across from the Watergate complex 1.2 miles from the White House. DC gas prices here http://www.washingtondcgasprices.com/ show the next lower priced station at $4.79.

If the Republican contenders were intelligent, rather than speaking of shtuyot like pill and abortion, and proposing things which go completely against NOT ONLY liberal thought but also Jewish Law, they would nail the concept of general impoverishment in the US while oil producing countries get richer on US shoulders, because Mr. OhBumAh not only forbade drilling US oil, but even the Canada-USA pipeline.

And yet... being done on behalf of Start Up people like Brightsource and Better Place, who are all tied up with the GEs and Kennedys (Obama's enforcers) of the world to the tune of $billions from Obama's stash of cash (stimulus, etc.). What, they thought we wouldn't notice the "team" using the EPA and the DOJ and the DOI, with jackboots on the ground, to send U.S. drill rigs out of commission and down to Brazil? And, what, the Start Up people will just say, "It's just private people in business."? Uh, no, it's not going to come out that way. If Israel doesn't disconnect from this dictatorial (unlawful!) action, your PR efforts over the last few Start Up Nation years will be for nothing because your brilliant ideas will be seen as synonymous with tyranny. Tyranny, because, as of yet, this "green energy" has not proven out on the level of quantity (wattage/mpg) and price that will actually come anything close to the U.S.'s current energy use pie chart. The U.S. normal supply is being cut down (unlawfully) by government to try to force Brightsource and Better Place's success on the enormous American market.

And the projected rolling brownouts and trashing of U.S. domestic economic activity will be pinned on everybody who participated. Bad move for Israel. Not to mention the conflict of this involvement in helping to elect Obama in '08 and possibly shilling him even in '12, even though he's done what he can to surround you guys with Muslim Bros, etc, who want you dead by any means? Conflicts of interest, anyone?

Sunlight,

For what it's worth, Israel Radio reported today that Israel Electric Company (our quasi-governmental monopolist that raised its rates another 9% this month on top of a 20% rise earlier this year) is billing consumers for the development of 'alternative energy' sources which have thus far produced zero. And the Knesset just discovered it.

At least they're consistent.

Bunch of Leftists (both countries) trying to impose their will on the democracies. Counter-Torah economics. Atlas Shrugged unfolding before our eyes. Enough people have to object or we'll go live in peace up in the mountains. Well, assuming they don't sic their unmanned drones on us. Bah!

And, by the way, Technion setting up on an island in Bloomberg's enforced nanny NY city, rather than going out to Toto's Kansas in flyover land or something, if they wanted to have a high visibility U.S. presence. Making their alliances clear. Too bad really...

What they don't tell you is that the gas station in question is ALWAYS $1 higher than anywhere else in the DC area. It never goes below $4 per gallon. As you can see at http://www.washingtondcgasprices.com/ you can get gas for $2 less per gallon without leaving Washington DC.
