Breaking; Shoot-out in Toulouse
An elite French police unit is surrounding the home of the main suspect in the attack on the Jewish school in Toulouse. According to Israel Radio, the shooter is an Algerian Muslim who claims to be connected to al-Qaeda. He lives in Toulouse near the Jewish school. He is also suspected of murdering three French paratroopers two weeks ago.The funerals of the four victims in the Toulouse shooting are scheduled to take place this morning in Jerusalem.

"He claims to be a mujahideen and to belong to al-Qaida," Gueant told journalists at the scene of the siege.If the suspect is killed in the shooting, at least we won't have to worry about terrorists grabbing hostages for his release. Yes, it's come to that.
He also said the man had been in Afghanistan. "He wanted revenge for the Palestinian children and he also wanted to take revenge on the French army because of its foreign interventions," Gueant said.
He said that police were also talking to the brother of the man who, Gueant said, was 24 years old. Police sources told Reuters that a man had been arrested earlier on Wednesday at a separate location in connection with the killings.
Two French police officers were injured during a shoot-out during a raid on a house in Toulouse to arrest suspects, a police source said.
The source said the raid began at 3.00 a.m. local time (0200 GMT) and was ongoing, but did not provide further details.
Reuters witnesses at the scene heard several shots at about 0440 GMT.
Heavily armed police in bullet-proof vests and helmets cordoned off the residential area where the raid was taking place, in a leafy suburb close to the Ozar Hatorah Jewish school where Monday's shootings took place.
Emergency services were also at the scene, but there were no visible signs of an ongoing siege.
For those wondering where I have been for the last 12 hours or so, I went to a wedding and a Bar Mitzva, came home, sat down in front of the computer and promptly fell asleep. I am hoping I will feel better later today, God willing.
