A Christian tells the Jews of Europe it's time to come to Israel

Italian Christian Giulio Meotti sees Monday's events in Toulouse as yet another indication that European - and especially French - Jewry needs to make aliya.
Maalot, Itamar and Toulouse… Always the same target: the Jewish people and the State of Israel, which the late French ambassador Daniel Bernard called “ce petit pays de merde” - that shitty little country.

Jewish life in France and Europe is not under question, it’s already history. For as comfortable as life might be in the arrondissements of Paris, it is time for the Jews of France to come home.

Before it’s too late, they should leave for Israel. The situation will only worsen.

Anti-Semitism is an eruption of barbarism in our civilization and the Jews have always been a barometer of tolerance. Europe is living its new nightmare and classical anti-Semitism has become a potent and dangerous mix in countries with enormous Muslim populations.

We will not be surprised if one day, under the Eurabian banner, these new Europeans will try to expel the descendants of the Holocaust from the land of Israel.

This second Shoah will be called “Peace and Justice for Palestine”.
Read it all.

You're blaming this on Eurabia when the perpetrators have killed Muslims too (French army personnel killed were Muslim)

Guilo Melletti or whatever, wants the Jews of out Europe so he sees it convenient to blame 'Eurabia'. Is he Evangelical?

You're quite the hypocrite Carl, you support neo nazi like Fjordmann and Gates of Vienna so long as the hate is targeted at Muslims but start crying when Jews are victims.

You far right Zionists are the trash of the planet along with these nazi types, that is why everything you touch turns to shit. You're doomed. You just don't see it yet.

What does your Ned May buddy (white supremacist neo nazi) have to say about this? He only pretends a sympathy for Jews because he sends his wife to beg for crumbs from far right Zionists to fund his fucked up cause. Schnorrers like you, are more than willing to lick nazi ass when you think Muslims are victims,

By the way, did you know your pimp Wilders has found a new whore? Polish immigrants. He didn't even bother to condemn the anti semitic Dutch TV programme aired recently, though whores from the Zionist crowd wanted him to. What's the matter? Can't control your whore?

What goes around comes around, Kapo.

as for that fucker Shyguy and the Juniper in the Desert , who salivates at this time...revolution is nigh....

The same is happening in the USA.

Just imagine if we Muslims start doing the same, and paid the likes of David Duke and Kevin Macdonald and other Ned May types to pull the same stunts in the USA.

We'd have far more success with little investment. No Geert Wilders or Ned May like pimps, who pretend a philo semitism for funds

This woman (E Horowitz)is Jewish, but thinks like a Muslim, God bless her.

She susses out that Melotti's support for Israel is based on his own agenda of reviving Christianity in Israel.

Melotti is stupid, as if Israel would allow a revival of Christianity in Israel, so why does he expect us to?

By the way Carl, one of the Schnorrers she refers to is you..and that Right Word guy, who thinks Christians owe him a living...Yisrael Medad

Read this, Kapo

Oh and Ellen Horowitiz, you'd be a welcome addition if you ever convert to Islam..you already think like us...

Benevolent exploitation and theo-political expediency
http://jewishisrael.ning.com/profiles/blogs/journalist-giulio-meotti-calls-for-rejection-of-judeo-christian-b
While we found it surprisingly refreshing to see the Rav's ideas materialize in the most unlikely of places, we feel Meotti's use of the Rav's position to shore up a theologically loaded relationship is ultimately incongruous and misses the mark. For lack of a better term, let’s call it "benevolent exploitation".

Jewish Israel believes that Giulio Meotti is a Gentile who is sincerely inspired by Israel and truly concerned about the Jewish people (he's even made a thoughtful attempt to understand Israel's Hareidi sector). However, it's likely he recently pulled the counter-missionary card and Rabbi Soloveitchik out of a hat in an attempt to quell the internal Jewish debate over evangelical support which threatens to erode a much larger "theo-political" agenda.

Muslim persecution of Christians, and the death of Christianity in the Middle East, appears to be a primary motivation behind Meotti's love for Israel. His articles passionately lament the demise of Arab Christianity in the region:

"The cross is near extinction in the lands of its origin."

"The Islamic tiger is now devouring the Christian lamb. Indeed, the Christian era in the Middle East is coming to an end."

There is currently empathy for the plight of Christians and the future of Christianity emanating from Jewish Zionist circles and Meotti would like to maintain that momentum.

He feels the fate of Israel is "intertwined" with the fate of Christians in the Middle East. For Meotti, Israel represents the great white hope for a resurgence of Christianity in the region:

"Today, the white flag with the beautiful six pointed star is a symbol of survival and hope for both Jews and Christians…"

Meotti has his finger on the pulse of the world churches and trends towards anti-Semitism. However, to ask the Jewish people to choose between the good church and the bad church is a little one-dimensional. Had Meotti a more accurate understanding of the nature of the American evangelical movement, he would realize that his urgent call for "rejecting the 'Judeo-Christian' blend " is an exercise in futility, as the pro-Israel evangelical enterprise is missionary in nature and aspires towards a "Judeo-Christian" fusion (see Ephesians 2:14, Ephesians 2:15, Ephesians 3:6, Galatians 3:28).

Although fatally flawed and a bit misleading, Meotti's article, Does Israel need Christian help?, is a worthwhile read. The article raises the bar on the level of debate over the issue of boundaries in interfaith relations and will perhaps challenge Jewish and Gentile minds and hearts. Here is something to chew on: while Israel should be concerned with international human rights abuses and involved in humanitarian issues in our region and the rest of the world, is the Jewish state and the Jewish people also obligated to support the preservation and perpetuation of Christianity in the Arab world? Where are the lines?

As expected a number of popular anglo-Israeli bloggers (see here and here) were thrilled by Meotti's article. Jewish Israel responded accordingly with the following talkback comment:

Every one has an agenda - including Christians. In an ideal world, Israel could without needing whoever supports its permanent interests in this generation.

The problem Israel does not live in such a world. Countries don't have allies as such, they have permanent interests. Israel's interest is the survival of the Jewish people. Right now, the enemy is Islam.

That may change someday but Israel's on-going interest in its survival must always be kept foremost in mind. You may want to keep your hands pure Chayna but the Jewish State and the Jewish people don't have the luxury of going it alone in a world where they have a single principal enemy like in the Nazi time.

I would suggest, Chayma that your sentiment echos the bristly arrogance of the Weimar Jews who simply would never accept that their home country could ever stoop so low as to consider them 'filthy Jews' and not as they viewed themselves; erudite intellectual Germans. But if history is any guide, and who knows, maybe you're right and the last 1000 years of European history is just a weird 'glitch', but in any case if I'm right, then 'glitches' like the Crusades, the Inquisition, The Drefuss trial and the Shoah are a fairly good predictor the the effete elite of Europe will happily toss the last Jewish child into the last bonfire if it means preserving their absurdly refined opinions of themselves. To say that so much as considering aliyah is a crime and treason and worthy of the same extermination they're trying to flee from, is, well, demented. But good luck with that. I am sure you'll be the first assimilated Jew they don't incinerate.

@Chayma there's even more in the scriptures:

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it….Zech. 12:3

Unknown to them, they are heading for eternal judgment, they think they are coming to make war against God, but they are being gathered for judgment.Isaiah 13:6-8.

Carl and other schnorrers here

Can you answer this question Ellen HOrowitz asked in the aricle i posted above, about Meotti's support and his agenda.

Can you make it clear by answering Yes or No,

is the Jewish state and the Jewish people also obligated to support the preservation and perpetuation of Christianity in the Arab world? Where are the lines?

If you don't answer, it means that the answer is NO, but you don't want to upset those who throw crumbs your way.

So what that does that make you? An opportunist.

Your reasoning is flawed.

You say right now the enemy is Islam, but Hezbollah top brass and Yasser Arafat's top brass included Christians. How come nearly all of these are secular, using the banner of Islam only as a rallying tool? The slut Suha Arafat, pretended to convert to Islam so that she could steal PLO money, donated by the worlds well meaning folk,

'Arab Christians' are your's they are not ours, Jesus is yours. Paul of Tsaurus is yours.

Why do you call them Arab, when Judaism predates Islam, and Christianity existed before Islam?

Call them Jewish heretics, not 'Arab Christians'

Sunlight

I am not Jewish. I am Muslim.

Sorry I said 'Sunlight', but my last comment was for 'Empress Trudy'.

Will,

I don't know what your quoting scripture has to do here, it's not about Jerusalem or prophecies.

It's abaout a fucked up cause built on lies and Islamophobia which is crumbling before our eyes.
