UN 'peace' envoy at Doha

Israel's Foreign Ministry has issued a statement slamming the United Nations' representative to the Middle East 'peace' quartet, Robert Serry, for attending the 'International Conference for the Defense of Jerusalem' in Doha.
Official sources said that the Foreign Ministry is furious over the participation of Robert Serry, the UN special coordinator for the Middle East peace, in the International Conference for Defense of Jerusalem in Doha, Qatar.

"Serry's betraying his position in the UN, just by his presence at the conference. He rarely denounces Qassam rockets fired from Gaza to Israel," one source said. The sources estimated that Serry will be summoned for a meeting in which he will likely be reprimanded.
Reprimanded by whom? For what? What ought to happen is that Israel should refuse to meet with him and should demand that the 'quartet' replace him. Wasn't the 'quartet' supposed to be at least somewhat impartial? Throw the bum out.

The Optimistic Conservative has a full rundown of who is whom at the conference. You should definitely read the whole thing. There are many other attendees about whom Israel has thus far remained silent.
