Orwellian Obama launches 'Truth Teams'

War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. And if you learn the 'truth,' you too will vote to reelect Barack Hussein Obama (Hat Tip: Atlas Shrugs).
“The goal is to ensure that when Republicans attack President Obama’s record, grassroots supporters can take ownership of the campaign and share the facts with the undecided voters in their lives,” the campaign said in a statement.

The teams will be first launched in 13 “swing states,” including Iowa, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia.

The rollout also includes a social media blitz, directing supporters to three new websites: KeepingHisWord.com, which highlights Obama’s record and “promises kept”; KeepingGOPHonest.com, which highlights GOP policy positions; and AttackWatch.com, which fact-checks claims made against Obama on the campaign trail.

“If the other guys are going to run a campaign based on misrepresenting the president’s record – and their own – we have two options: sit back and let these lies go unchallenged, or fight back with the truth,” deputy Obama campaign manager Stephanie Cutter said in an email. ”We’re fighting back.”
So here are some lies and disingenuous statements I found:

Iran:
“[We’re] going to continue to … apply the toughest sanctions and continue to mobilize the international community to make sure that Iran is further and further isolated and that it pays a price for this kind of behavior.”
—President Obama at a press conference on October 13th, 2011

On February 6th, President Obama tightened sanctions on the Iranian government and central bank, following growing concern about the country’s nuclear program.
In between, he tried to 'soften' the Kirk-Menendez bill, which had made a compromise on sanctions by allowing Obama to delay them. Kirk-Menendez passed 100-0.

Then he shows that ridiculous seven-minute video that claims to prove that the Israeli government believes he's the best thing since sliced bread. He ignores the Iran sanctions issue (above), his lack of commitment to stopping Iran and his demand that Israel start 'negotiating' with the 'Palestinians' from the 1949 armistice lines.

It's kind of interesting that the one paragraph here that doesn't attack Mitt Romney attacks Marco Rubio, who isn't even a candidate. Is Obama afraid of the young Florida Senator?

Orwellian. Positively Orwellian.

Hi Carl.
I think my earlier opimion of Obama was wrong, he's just an nostalgic who misses the'good old days' of the October Revolution, first the Czars and now he reinstalls the Political Commissars.
