When Sarah Palin and Alan Dershowitz agree

A year ago, Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz defended Sarah Palin's use of the term "blood libel." Now, it's Palin's turn, agreeing with Dershowitz's assessment that Media Matters could cost President Obama the election (Hat Tip: Jack W).
In answering a recent attack by Max Blumenthal, formerly of Media Matters for America (MMfA), Prof. Dershowitz said, β€œLet me tell you, Max Blumenthal and Media Matters will be singlehandedly responsible for (Obama) losing this election. They (the Democrats) cannot win the election and keep this affiliation with them.”

I agree with Prof. Dershowitz, though obviously I think there are many, many more reasons why President Obama should lose this election (trillions, if you consider his latest budget proposal).

Prof. Dershowitz is right to draw attention to MMfA in particular. As Big Journalism points out: β€œMedia Matters has been condemned by the Simon Wiesenthal Center for their continued use of an antisemitic slur; their own allies have even thrown them under the bus for antisemitism.”

This just shows that Americans of all political stripes are awakened to the dangers of unethical journalists and media organizations that deceive their audiences and use bullying tactics to unfairly target political opponents.
I sure hope Palin's right, because I don't see Obama throwing them under the bus so quickly.

Good for Palin to speak out when she finds a point of agreement with Prof. Dershowitz. However, the big city urban Jewish organizations in the U.S. (along with academia like Prof. Dershowitz) have not released their infatuation with what Prof. Paul Rahe writes as "Charity=Govt Confiscation and Redistribution". Even though some say that the Orthodox Jews are "conservative", I don't see it in their voting or their donating patterns. Same in Israel. Until they do, and I don't even care if they want to frame it as an experiment rather than doing a mea culpa, they are complicit in growing the marxist caliphate blob that will be the undoing of Israel and the U.S., for that matter. Prof. Rahe has finally framed it in words. And not just for the Catholic Church.

Prof. Rahe's essay will be a good addition to the Torah Economics evaluation (which is languishing due to election year hours spent!).
