Erekat says US can't use aid to 'blackmail' 'Palestinians'

You have to admire the chutzpa of chief 'Palestinian' negotiator bottle washer Saeb Erekat.
Palestinian Authority chief negotiator Saeb Erekat said that the Palestinian Authority appreciates US aid, but that this financial assistance cannot be used as "blackmail," Ma'an News Agency quoted Erekat as saying Sunday.

The PA negotiator, speaking after a meeting with Arab League Secretary-General Nabil el-Arabym, said that there was no pressure on the Palestinian Authority from any Arab League members to abandon their plan to gain membership to the United Nations.
If Ronald Reagan or George W. Bush were President, they would have told Erekat to take a hike. Unfortunately, the pants in Washington these days are only worn in the Congress and not in the White House. It will be interesting to see whether the Obama administration tries to make Congress pay up on Monday.

The Palestinians don't like the conditions that come with American aid, they are free to support themselves. Its time Israel followed suit by halting tax collections for the PA. If the Palestinians want independence, let them raise their own revenue.

In a word, its time for them to put up or to shut up!
