Put up or shut up
Shaul Mofaz, a former IDF Chief of Staff and Defense Minister, and now the number 2 MK in the Kadima party, which is the largest opposition party, has called on the IDF to destroy the Hamas infrastructure in Gaza. The IDF, the Kadima MK said, should destroy Hamas's infrastructure in Gaza in order to make clear to Hamas that Israel won't hold back when faced with attacks on its citizens. Israel should also target the Hamas leadership, he added, Israel Radio reported. There's just one thing missing here: A commitment from Kadima to back the government from the opposition benches if it goes to war with Hamas. Given the craven and self-centered behavior of Kadima's leader, without such a commitment, the government will not move ahead.
Addressing the recent diplomatic crisis with Egypt, Mofaz added that Israel must maintain strong relations with its southern neighbor. Strong ties with Cairo, he said, will help stop terror emanating from the Sinai Peninsula.
MK Yohanan Plesner (Kadima), on the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee tour of the South, said that "the committee supports all of the government's efforts to improve its deterrence of Hamas and [other] terrorist organizations."
"The creation of a permanent situation of attrition in the South," he said, "would be a great victory for Hamas and the terrorist organizations and the State of Israel cannot accept such a situation."

It is amazing that in such a small country, members of the left can still inhabit a cocoon in cloud cuckoo land!!
Given the mindset of the Israeli branja, they still don't get it the Palestinians want to destroy Israel. Nothing will happen until the war is brought home to their families.
That's just the way things are in Israel.
