Most US Jews worried about Obama's Israel policies

Earlier this week, I reported on a survey that indicated that only 43% of American Jews would vote for President Obama in 2012. I questioned whether those Jews who would not vote for President Obama would vote for a Republican or would stay home.

Since then, I have seen other questions regarding this survey. For example, someone pointed me to this article from 2010, from which we can conclude that if Jews abandon Obama, it will be because of the economy and not because of Israel. That makes Obama's 'big accomplishment' showing that American Jewry does not care about Israel (whether that's true or not, that is how it appears).

Others who specifically questioned the results of this survey include Ron Kampeas of JTA and Adam Serwer of WaPo. So this morning we have a new spin on the same poll.
And when it comes to Israel – which a plurality said was the most important issue to them – the poll found problematic numbers for Obama.

Indeed, two-thirds of those polled said they would be concerned about Obama’s policies toward Israel if he were re-elected.
That probably refers to this question from the survey:
Considering what President Obama has proposed for Israel just over a year before his 2012 re-election campaign - a return to the 1967 borders, dividing Jerusalem, and allowing the right of return for Palestinian Arabs to Israel - how concerned would you be about President Obama's policies towards Israel if he were re-elected and did not have to worry about another election?
Yes, there is plenty of reason to be concerned about that. But do two thirds of American Jews share that concern enough that most of them will vote against Obama? Unfortunately, I'm afraid that's wishful thinking.
