I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). An Israel Hasbara activist, Neil Lazarus first promoted this video which has been revealed to be a fake. It was also promoted by an aide of Netanyahu's (Guy Seeman) from the Israeli Govt Press Office.
I'd even go as far as saying Netanyahu himself authorised it, to discredit the flotilla.
Well said Shy Guy, I agree, as if a country sacred to so many Monotheistic religions needs to be promoted using gay sex activists. Baccio is right too, the video is a fake.
Fake or not, the assumption that the vast majority of flotillistas don't know they are getting into bed with Hamas is itself naive.
I recall the IDF investigation concluding that the majority of those aboard the Mavi Marmara knew nothing about the IHH's intent for a violent confrontation. That's crap. Iara Lee's long video shows people casually walking past the preparations for just such a confrontation. Kevin Neish said that they were only prevented from photographing the improvised weaponry being put in place, not from watching it or from hearing the 'peace activists' explain what they intended to do - e.g. to hurl jars full of nuts and bolts at IDF attempting to board shipside.
If this is government approved, then it's high time the government woke up and realized that the flotillistas are all anti-Israel. Like Hamas, they do not believe that Israel has the right to exist.
