Lieberman to Ashton: If the 'Palestinians' declare a 'state,' Oslo is over
It's about time someone said this officially. Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman told EU Foreign Policy chief Catherine Ashton on Friday that if the 'Palestinians' unilaterally declare a 'state,' the Oslo accords are finished."A move like that will be a violation of all the agreements that were signed until today," Lieberman said. "Israel will no longer be committed to the agreements signed with the Palestinians in the past 18 years."Forgive my cynicism but does that mean that if the 'Palestinians' unilaterally declare a 'state,' the Israeli government will end its de facto freeze in Judea and Samaria?
He added: "In light of [PA President Mahmoud] Abbas's current stance, the chances for negotiations are zero."
"Abbas is not interested in an agreement," the foreign minister explained. "He wants conflict, because that is his personal interest, even though it is against the Palestinians' interest, and many oppose him."
"Israel is prepared to renew negotiations. The ball is in the Palestinians' court," Lieberman said.

So long as you're wishing for what the government SHOULD do, wish for them to annex YoSh and toss the Wakf out of the Har Habayis.
Well done, Lieberman! Thank you! This has been along time coming. I cannot tell you how much I LOATHE that worm-headed nobody/apparatchik!! She has no education and has never been elected to anything! She is married to the marxist dhimmi Peter Kellner, who at least has brains; she has zilch!
Good luck waiting for the Israeli government to do the right thing.
The Jews are not lacking in means. The Jews are lacking in courage.
What could go wrong indeed
Bibi is beginning to sorta make Lieberman's declaration his own:

The PA continues to have two complementary demands:
a) the EU should recognize a "Palestine" on every square inch east of the 1949 demarcation line at the UN with East Jerusalem as the exclusive Palestinian capital or,
b) Israel should recognize the same damn thing before negotiations by adopting: 1) Obama's 1967 lines formula and 2) adopting Obama's indefinite "freeze" on Jewish residences on every square inch to the east of the "green line".
The EU response. Hmmmm. We'll have to think about the PA proposals.
Thank you O. Thank you EU.
Is it absolutely impossible for Bibi to go beyond the formula that UN recognition will make negotiations impossible to the position that, hey, Oslo is over already and Israel declines to be pulled into a Munich-style sit down, thanks but no thanks. Time to think about accommodations a little less Oz like.
