Carl - think of the irony. The US just eliminated the head of Al Qaeda. In Libya, it is helping Islamist extremists tied to Al Qaeda to seize power in that country.
Qaddafi is a loon to be sure but he is far more responsible than the crazies the West is trying to help to take over Libya.
But such details are unimportant. After all, now that the US is involved, it must push Qaddafi out or risk losing credibility.
Why, its not clear.
