Good luck with that!

In light of Judge Goldstone's recantation of part of his odious report, the European Jewish Congress has demanded that the European Union retract its endorsement.
EJC president Dr. Moshe Kantor told the organization’s General Assembly Sunday at a meeting in Budapest, where he also met with the Hungarian prime minister, “It should now be clear to all that the conclusions of the Goldstone report were wrong. The European Parliament needs to correct the resulting damage that the erroneous Goldstone Report caused Israel.”

...

Kantor also called on the Hungarian president to push for an upgrade of EU-Israeli relations, which were suspended following the EU Parliament's endorsement of the Goldstone report.

“The revelations by Justice Goldstone that his conclusions were incorrect should prompt European leaders for a timely and appropriate course-correction with respect to European-Israeli relations." Kantor added. “Only by reinforcing cooperation and bilateral relations with Israel will Europe play a more central role in the Middle East peace process.”

American Jewish groups and the State of Israel have demanded that the United Nations retract the Goldstone Report, but there is little likelihood that the Human Rights Council, which Goldstone admitted is biased against Israel, will admit the report was wrong.
The odds of the EU retracting its endorsement are about the same as the odds of the 'Human Rights Council' retracting its endorsement: Somewhere between slim and none. One is an organization of Jew-haters and the other is an organization of Jew-haters.

Yeah, like that's ever gonna happen.

Not in this lifetime.

Carl, fine, they're all Jewhaters, except not all of them. Israel has friends in the European Parliament. We need to get out of this rut of downplaying any potential for progress. Instead we should be supporting such initiatives and giving them all the grassroots energy we can muster. Let it take days or weeks or months, let our allies in the relevant bodies and committees define this as a political priority and make inroad after inroad until one day we wake up and the thing is done.

Goldstone's retraction has given us a gift no one had been expecting. Let's not squander it in pessimism. Why are we doing the Arabs' and Israel-haters' work for them? Let them play defense for a while.

We've got an earthquake coming our way this September and we need all the help and optimism we can get. It's use it or lose it. All of Israel's political establishment and civil society is behind this, including most of the Haaretz editorial board. This is a real opportunity. Let's use it.

Yes, the entire European people are all a bunch of Nazis. Your insight and nuance is staggering, Carl.
