'Starving' Gazans restrict imports

In Gaza, where we're told that people are 'starving,' the Hamas government has decided to restrict imports of Israeli products.
The ministry statement included a ban on clothing manufactured in Israel. Merchants would have to apply to the ministry for permission to sell several other items, the statement said.

Ma'an obtained a copy of the list of restricted items manufactured in Israel, including the following:

Require approval

- Home and office furniture
- Plastic products
- Tissues, toilet paper
- Hoses
- Juices, soft drinks
- Chemical products
- Canned beans
- Biscuits, candies
- Packaging materials

The ban and restrictions apply only to goods manufactured in Israel. Government officials said goods produced by other nations would not be subject to the restrictions.
That ought to show how much they're 'starving.' But don't worry. The 'flotillas' will be here in February. They have nothing to do with starvation. They're about 'breaking the blockade' so that Hamas can run weapons on an unrestricted basis.
