Mohamed Abdellah was one of the founders of Egypt's National Democratic Party (NDP), and was a confidant of both Anwar Sadat and Hosni Mubarak. He gives an insider's account of what happened in the last days of Mubarak's rule in Egypt. The bottom line is that Mubarak isolated himself with a small group of advisers (led by an overeager son named Gamal) who told him only what he wanted to hear.
