Confirmed: Nasrallah lied to Ahmadinejad
Remember how I
questioned whether the rifle presented by Hezbullah chieftain Hassan Nasrallah to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad could have come from an IDF soldier in the Second Lebanon War? Well, all of you who got it right can pat yourselves on the back. Yedioth (apparently only on the Hebrew side - I can't find it on the English side) and Lebanon's Naharnet are now confirming that
Nasrallah lied to Ahmadinejad.
The mass-selling Yediot Aharonot said the gun, which Nasrallah presented to Ahmadinejad in person on his controversial two-day visit to Lebanon, was a type of weapon not been used by the Israeli military since the early 1970s.
The paper quoted a military spokesperson as saying the weapon was "most likely" a FNFAL 7.62 rifle that went out of use in 1974, meaning it could not have been taken from soldiers during Israel's more recent invasion of Lebanon.
A military spokesman contacted by AFP declined to comment on the report.
Liar, liar, pants on fire!

Heh
The lie isn't for Ahmadinejad, who likely knows Israel doesn't use such antiquated weapons. It's for the antiZionist Muslim masses.
I told you, it could have been talken from guns Israel gave to the SLA. No, not the Patty Hearst gang!!!
Ahmedinehad didn't know or was he being polite? I know the Arabs are clueless about this sort of thing, but these are Persians. Maybe it's just their shared lust for anti-Israel propaganda no matter how cheesy and dishonest.
Hilarious.
