Gaza water park burned by arsonists
The Gaza water park was burnt to the ground on Saturday night by arsonists who tied up and blindfolded the security guard, poured fuel all over the park and then set it on fire. Unknown assailants set fire to a water resort park on Sunday west of Gaza City, causing extensive damage, owners said.And not a word blaming it on the Zionists.
Ala Al-Araj, the chairman of the Crazy Water resort's board, said assailants poured fuel around the resort at 3 a.m and set fire to it, after tying up and blindfolding the park's security guards.
Gaza police and the attorney general closed the park off after the arson, he said, but accused police of failing to provide sufficient protection.
He said the lucrative parts of the water resort sustained extensive damage in the fire.
Haaretz adds:
Around 40 unidentified militants stormed the tourist resort, breaking and destroying items and setting fire to its restaurant and administration buildings....And yes, Haaretz implies that the reason was that someone from Hamas didn't like the immodest clothing on some of the kiddies on the water slides.
The tourist attraction houses three swimming pools, water slides and various cafes and other facilities.
Alladein al-Araj, the attraction's director general, said in a statement that the militants also tied the hands of the guards and beat them.
He said that in addition to the resort's management offices, and restaurant, a three-storey building that includes wedding halls was also vandalized.
Describing it as "an awful attack," al-Araj said he held the attorney-general of the Hamas administration in the salient responsible, since he had issued an order in September to close the resort for three weeks.
"I'm astonished that there are fanatical people acting to obstruct the development of tourism in the Gaza Strip," he said.
He said owners of tourism facilities in the enclave met with Hamas lawmakers two days ago asking their help.

Would we classify the people who can't contain themselves when faced with kids playing in bathing suits as pedophiles?
Maybe they don't like the Palestinians living a normal life. That doesn't do wonders for the jihad recruitment, now does it?
Anything that diminishes Palestinian rage at Israel is a "Zionist plot." So the Gaza water park had to be destroyed.
