Three Spanish flotilla passengers sue

I guess most of Israel's government ministers will have to stay out of Spain for a while.

Three Spanish passengers on the Mavi Marmara - two 'peace activists' and one 'journalist' - are suing several Israeli government officials because their experience on the Mavi Marmara wasn't quite like Pirates of the Caribbean.
The claimants in the suit are two Spanish peace activists and a journalist. They will file suit against Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, Interior Minister Eli Yishai and Ministers Moshe Yaalon, Dan Meridor and Benny Begin, as well as Navy Commander Eliezer Marom.

According to the Republico newspaper, the three claim they were subjected to light torture, were arrested in an illegal manner, and were expelled by force from Israel by Israeli authorities after the events on-board the Mavi Marmara.

The 83-page suit claims that the Israeli government committed crimes against humanity.
The last time I checked, how you are arrested and for what is a local law issue - why is a Spanish court going to adjudicate it?

Hopefully, the Israeli government will claim lack of jurisdiction and not respond to the suit.

I guess this is what the Spaniards were expecting. Let's go to the videotape.

Heh.
