Preparing for nuclear fallout

When I was a kid, this is how we were told to prepare for a nuclear attack (if I recall correctly, my brother even had it up on the wall of his bedroom).
Today, there are slightly better ways to prepare. Here are instructions for making something called a Kerny Fallout Meter (KFM). For those of you in Israel (who need them the most), they even have them in Hebrew, so you can hand them out to all your neighbors.

Don't you feel better now?

What could go wrong?
