El Al flight delayed 2 hours by anti-Israel demonstration

El Al flight 542 departed Athens two hours late on Wednesday morning after access to the check-in counter was blocked by a group of Communist demonstrators protesting Israel's 'siege' on Gaza.
Members of a Communist-backed labor union said they blocked five El Al airline counters for two hours to protest the Israeli blockade of Gaza and the Jewish state's oppressive policies.

"This was an action taken in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their effort to establish a Palestinian state," union spokesman Giorgos Pontikos told the AP. He said police were present at the protest but did not intervene.

An El Al spokesman said in response to the incident that airline "considers flight safety and the safety of its passengers as its foremost values and will not compromise those in any way," saying that "at no time were the passengers in danger."
Well, why didn't the police intervene? And how did these people gain access to the check-in counter in the first place? Is this going to start a new trend?

The police had trouble intervening because it was a swarm overtaking the counter.

As for starting a new trend, Antisemitism, the oldest hatred toward one people is alive and well. To continue this somewhat innate hate takes fresh approaches all veiled of course in a false obsession and oldest blood libels ever. To keep it alive has to do with occupation and daily humiliation of the poor peaceful Palestinian people. News flash...which of course our friends in high places and foes alike did nothing to stop and sorry to say, everything to continue to promote!!

Pictures of the intifada made it to every TV across the world. For that the push to give (reward) the Palestinians with statehood was at it's greatest in all of history. What do you expect people to think of Israel??

In the end, because of the promotion of lies and the whitewash of Palestinians, the Palestinians are the victims and Israel the pariahs. We became pariahs while they blew up our babies and marched to the Nazi Goosestep with U.S dollars.

The past president denied Jerusalem while ordering Israel to make sure the Palestinian terror state would be viable, contiguous and not resemble swiss cheese.

You asked the President to come back again. How could you after when he left his only stamp of approval was to proclaim: "TAKE GOOD CARE OF OLMERT." Your beloved Jerusalem that you fight to the end for meant squat to the guy you put into office. The promise to sign the embassy act in his first week of office was broken because of ABU MAZEN. The fact Bush did not see fit to send even the lowest level representative of his administration to the anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem, spit on your love of Jerusalem and elevated ABU MAZEN at the same time. At that moment Abu Mazen meant more then Jerusalem will ever mean to any outsider.

Indeed Obama is evil. He is the worst on so many levels my head spins. However what our friend did to us in the guise of friendship was unconscionable. The quiet surrounding it however is a warning we must never forget.

This is an incredibly dangerous precedent. El Al counters in airports in several countries have been the targets of violent attacks. I cannot fathom how any airport security worthy of the name would permit this!

You would think El Al security has a handle on this problem. Will it allow its flights to be disrupted by roving gangs of anti-Semites abroad?

What could go wrong indeed
