Sweet: Fatah wants to get rid of Richard Falk

When 9/11 'truther' Richard Falk was appointed as the 'Human Rights Council's Special Rapporteur on the 'Palestinians,' it was Israel that fumed. We barred Falk from entering the country and refused to cooperate with him altogether. Falk, reports UN Watch, was appointed at the request of the 'moderate' Fatah movement.

But now, Fatah is having regrets. It seems that Falk has decided that Fatah is not radical enough for him. So he is siding with Hamas. And Fatah is furious.
According to Palestinian reports, the PA hates Falk, and is trying to get him fired, because he has sided with Hamas and insulted Abbas and his UN envoys. Specific PA objections to earlier drafts of the report were due to Falk’s recognition of Hamas as the legitimate ruler in Gaza. For more on the controversy, see the report by Marian Houk quoting an inside UN source.
Remember last October when the 'Palestinians' agreed to delay consideration of the Goldstone Report (and then retracted that agreement)? Well Falk went on al-Jazeera to blast that decision.

Let's go to the videotape.

UN Watch has more examples of criticism of the 'Palestinian Authority' by Falk. Read the whole thing. Heh.
