The face of the media today
This cartoon is spot-on:
Helen Thomas is indeed the face of the mainstream media today in the United States and in much of the Western world (including Israel by the way with a few notable exceptions). The media's kid glove treatment of Barack Obama was what got him elected (think Los Angeles Times and the Rashid Khalidi tape).Perhaps Helen Thomas was on to something when she told that rabbi's son to go into journalism. Perhaps the only way to change things is to encourage at least some of our kids to become reporters. Or more durable for the long term - to start blogs.
