Obama's mistaken linkage

President Obama continues to insist that the road to resolving all of the Middle East's conflicts runs through 'Palestine.' He's wrong. Deadly wrong.
Even more dangerous to American interests in the Middle East is Barack Obama's theory that success in the peace process is linked to efforts to affect Iran's behavior. The pursuit of nuclear weapons is a strategic goal and the choice of the regime in Tehran. The nuclear option presents Iran's rulers with the assurance that the West will not act against them, no matter how rogue their behavior. And they seek to overturn the regional balance of power and undermine the United States, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Israel. A Palestinian-Israeli peace will not alter this fundamental equation in Tehran.

Obama's linkage belief also inflates the importance of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. America has had relations with the Arab world despite the ebb and flow of the peace process. The U.S. was able to assemble both an international and an Arab coalition to oust Saddam Hussein from Kuwait during the 1990-1991 Gulf crisis -- before the dawn of the Palestinian-Israeli peace process. The Palestinian conundrum is also not the central issue in Arab politics. Were that the case, Gulf States including Saudi Arabia would follow through on their financial commitments to the PA that could help build the infrastructure and institutions necessary to govern a state. For as wealthy as Osama bin Laden is and as important as he pretends the fate of Palestinians to be, he has contributed not a dime towards helping them build the institutions of state. Indeed, a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict will have no effect on the Arab-Persian conflict, the Shiite-Sunni conflict, the inter-Arab conflict, or the nationalist-Islamist conflict within Arab states. Likewise, it will not make American troops safer in Iraq and Afghanistan or make Russia and China more willing to embrace tougher sanctions on Iran at the U.N.

The key to progress in the Middle East lies in Iran. Changing the regime's behavior and bringing an end to its pursuit of nuclear weapons could weaken political extremists region-wide, curtail the power of terrorists groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas, and, perhaps most importantly, prevent a nuclear arms race in an unstable region.

The new and dangerous path charted by the Obama administration betrays a shaky grasp of nuance in the Middle East. This misguided approach to Arab-Israeli peacemaking is bound to fail and exacerbate tensions in the region. All the while, it is emboldening Tehran and its terrorist allies as they watch the ease with which this administration has thrown its ally, Israel, under the proverbial bus. Team Obama would do well to rethink its priorities in the Middle East in a way that would genuinely benefit American interests both at home and abroad.
President Obama came to office with an obsession with creating a 'Palestinian state.' It's an obsession he absorbed in 20 years in Jeremiah Wright's church, and through his friendship over the years with Louis Farrakhan, Rashid Khalidi, Bill Ayers and many other radicals. Some of us warned about Obama's background and associations during the campaign in 2008. Unfortunately, 78% of American Jews would not listen and continue to support this radical Jew-hater. Meanwhile, Obama continues to hang out with many of his old friends.
Dem Jews' Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Chinese leader Dalai Lama get backdoor treatment at the White House, but among those getting front door treatment, according to White House visitors' records, are Billy Ayers, Louis Farrakhan and family, Jeremiah Wright, Al Sharpton and Jesse ("Hymietown") Jackson.
What could go wrong?

And Abu Bluff is going to get front door treatment including being seen by the press with the President.

What could go wrong indeed

Excuse me. This is not Obama's linkage alone.

The arch narcissist Obama is hostile to Israel which is why he is obsessed. His hostility at the expense of Israel is something he wears. He came into office with the same obsession as those before him except with more fervor.

What Obama learned at the knee of Wright is another in your face out in the open piece of the puzzle. Still, what does this say for all the others.

Antisemitism is like having to describe your pain from 1 to 10. I still maintain if those before Obama did not process inherent Antisemitism quiet as it might have been, there would be no talk of 2 state solution.

Let's just peel the banana while we are at it. Why did George W. Bush not make good on his campaign promise to sign the embassy act in the 8 years years in office and what does that mean? Tell me, what the root of that stems from? Love the saudi's more maybe...why? Appeasement to all our enemies meant more? hmm. Why did he not send even a low level official from his administration to the 40th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem? What did that speak of?

Who would have thought, hah? I rest my case.

Yah, like some in Hitlers army hated Jews more then others. While some chased Jews others shot them while they were running? Big deal. In the end, Jews suffered. This is my point.

Like I've said over and over, if you don't know where you came from you can't move forward.

Guess what? If there was this much screaming in the last 4 years of the Bush administration perhaps things might be different now. Not a political issue to be used and abused?? Think again.

Jews, Israel and Jerusalem is nothing more than a political issue with hardly anything to do with love,
desire, respect and security for the Jews of Israel. Never, again...dream on. We have been duped. Period.
