Defense expert: Iron Dome is a scam
A defense expert has slammed the IDF for exaggerating claims about the effectiveness of the Iron Dome anti-missile system.Former IAF fighter pilot, military analyst and proffessor at Tel Aviv University, Reuven Pedatzur, recently slammed the IDF for misleading the public about the effectiveness of the new Iron Dome anti-missile system, as swell as the older Arrow system.That's funny. I said the same thing two years ago and argued that they should buy an American system that was already deployable back then.
“The Iron Dome is a scam. The flight-time of a Kassam rocket to Sderot is 14 seconds, while the time the Iron Dome needs to identify a target and fire some 15 seconds. This means it can’t defend against anything fired from fewer than five kilometers; but it probably couldn’t defend against anything fired from 15 km either. Since each Iron Dome missile costs about $100,000 and each Kassam $5, all the Palestinians need to do is build and launch a ton of rockets and hit our pocketbook.”
“There are also enough simple countermeasures that can be deployed to make the effectiveness of the Arrow basically zero,” he added.

Here's a simple countermeausre: One day of no power or water for each rocket.
The point is the Iron Dome will buy the Israeli rear a level of protection equal to what you get from an umbrella... it won't stop the rain from falling but will protect one from the worst of it.
But any one who thinks the Iron Dome is a substitute for eliminating the Palestinian terror base in Gaza or the Hezbollah terror state in Lebanon, is suffering from a delusion. There is no real substitute for victory and implicit in the Arrow missile system and its Israeli Iron Dome counterpart, is the fact the Israeli elites have successfully tried to avoid actually winning a war against an enemy since 1991.
Until that mindset changes, future generations, if they're still lucky to be around, will look upon the Iron Dome as the French looked on the ill-fated Maginot line after World War II.
There is only one way to fight a war with the arabs...
overwhelming force...
Israel should hit with total destruction any and all areas that shoot off rockets...
Tell the world it's simple, we will not tolerate being killed. PERIOD
If the Arabs (notice I do not call them Palestinians) seek war on Israel, GIVE THAT TO THEM
If a village is used as an ammo dump, blow it up...
If you must allow the civilians to flee 1st by all means, blow open the border of Gaza to sinai and drive the arabs INTO Egypt.
What the worst thing that will happen?
The UN will call you criminal?
SO be it...
IT's time to teach the arabs a lesson called "We win, you Lose"
