Farrakhan: 'Obama's difficulties started when he stood up to the Jewish lobby'

Speaking to 20,000 people at Chicago's United Center on Sunday night, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan railed that President Obama's difficulties started when he stood up to the 'Jewish lobby.'
[I]n a 3½-hour Saviours' Day speech Sunday, Farrakhan said Obama's current political difficulties began when he stood up to the Jewish lobby during an Oval Office meeting.

"When they left the White House, his problems began," Farrakhan said.

"The Zionists are in control of the Congress."

Referring to Obama's chief economic advisers Timothy Geithner, Henry Paulson and Larry Summers, Farrakhan said, "Who does he have around him? The people from Goldman Sachs."

The "bloodsuckers of the poor" were rewarded with a bailout, he said.

Anti-Defamation League Director Abraham Foxman responded: "Anybody who thought the old Farrakhan was gone: He never was. It's the same Farrakhan: ugly and anti-Semitic. With age, he doesn't get milder, he gets uglier."
Curiously, the Sun Times notes that
Obama distanced himself from Farrakhan before the presidential election because of Farrakhan's long history of anti-Semitic remarks.
Just like he 'distanced himself' from Farrakhan's friend Jeremiah Wright.
I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother — a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.

- Barack Obama on his mentor Rev. Wright, 3/18/08
I'd bet Obama feels the same way about Farrkhan.

What could go wrong?

It's not surprising at all, Carl. Here in America, it's gotten to the point where if someone's skin color is black, I automatically assume they're anti-semitic and anti-white until they prove otherwise. Jews always stood by and supported blacks during their struggle for civil rights, but now blacks act like Jews are somehow just as responsible for the historical persecution of blacks as the rest of white America.

The rest of "white" America is also not responsible for what happened to the blacks in that long horrible chapter of American history.

Let all the Anti-Semites stand up and voice their diatribe, so we learn and know, that when the time comes, we will be able to watch their downfall.

I appreciate when my enemies speak out in a truthful manner.

It is not my enemies I worry about but those who claim to be friends.

Talk is cheap on both sides. However diatribes against Jews are less hurtful than those who claim friendship and do nothing.

To David 77, the roach Farrakhan is not symbolic of all blacks. Farrakhan is an inherent Antisemite just like all the inherent white Antisemites in our midst.

Jews stood by blacks because no one stood by them. That is the connection! The average Jew who choose not to assimilate paid a big price here in America for a very long time. America for those non assimilated Jews was tough as nails. Antisemitism reared it's ugly head over and over again. Jews could not be active Republicans, lower middle class Jews had trouble borrowing money from white conservative banks. Young Jewish men who came back from WW2 had a more difficult time getting a home loan or being turned down for rentals. (especially those Jews who looked too Jewish) Jews could not belong to white conservative country clubs nor could they be admitted to many white conservative universities...! Jews learned well what NO JEWS OR DOGS ALLOWED meant right here in the US of A.

For anyone to say whites had nothing to do with the plight of blacks is the same as saying whites had nothing to do with antisemitism.

What is victim-hood? Indeed it is time for Blacks to drop their victim status, I couldn't agree more. On the other side of that coin is a world who piles it on Israel at every step of the way. The same people insist Jews need to stop playing the victim card. The fact that Israel the victim of terrorists and terrorist appeasers has been nice and tidy turned into the victimizers! Israel is now the pariah of the world. Shall we just forget that for the sake of no longer playing the victim card or shall we fight it with all our might?

Nothing is black or white.
(no pun intended)

The proximate cause for the plight of blacks is from blacks. Blacks in Africa have enslaved and continue to enslave each other from time immemorial. During the middle passage, they sold their undesirables for a bottle of rum. Blame the west african obamas for the plight of blacks.
