Partisan gap on Israel widens to 50%
The partisan gap on Israel between Democrats and Republicans has widened to 50% according to a Zogby poll taken for the Arab-American Institute.* 42% of Democrats had a favorable rating of Israel compared to 92 of Republicans resulting in a 50% gap between the parties.Especially if the earlier poll was taken before President Obama abused Prime Minister Netanyahu at the White House.
* While the gap is higher in this poll, the finding is consistent with a recent Gallup poll that had 53% of Democrats with a favorable view compared to 80% of Republicans.
But don't expect that to change how Jews vote in the next elections. The new Democratic motto is F**k the Jews, they'll vote for us anyway.

The two best pieces on this and other things relating to Obama was Alan Dershowitz this week, JPOST and Caroline Glick.
I put more stock in the words of Dershowitz who is a liberal because he is not singing to the choir (to say what we want to hear)but with passion and honesty and love for Israel. He truly did rip Obama a new...you know what! Ditto on Glick who had the guts to rip Bush for what he didn't do to draw a comparison to why we are at this point today.
BTW: AIPAC which has liberal leanings sure sent one hell of a pro-Israel letter out this week.
If we go on the words of those on our side we will be let down. Once a politician gets into office, black gold and innate antisemitism always wins. The whole of the upper echelon of the Republican party were completely silent when Bush took Israel for quite a ride. (ending with TAKE GOOD CARE OF OLMERT)
Wake up folks!!
Don't look for American Jews to wake up from their liberal coma.
What could go wrong indeed
Remember that James Zogby works for the Arab Lobby. You have to look closely as the questions asked. I would not give this much credibility.
Remember that James Zogby works for the Arab Lobby. There's not a lot of credibility there - one needs to take a deeper look at the questions that were asked.
James Zogby works for the Arab Lobby. The survey lacks credibility - one should examine the questions that were asked.
Very True Carl, but on the other hand, the democratic party hasn't been the pro-Israel party for years. Unfortanatly our liberal Jewish bretheren refuse to wake up and smell the charoses
I couldn't find the Dershowitz column from this week at the JPost. Search engine didn't show anything more recent than his 3/19/2010 column entitled "Int'l Court doesn't give just rulings"
Does anybody have Dershowitz's column title and the URL for his column referred to in nomatter's comment?
