Goldstone to debate Dore Gold
Richard Goldstone, the author of the commission report on Operation Cast Lead that bears his name, will debate an Israeli government representative about the report for the first time. That representative will be Dore Gold, Israel's former ambassador to the United Nations and the author of a book on the threat of a nuclear Iran.The debate is to take place at Brandeis University on November 5. Time, place and venue have not been announced.
Given Brandeis' past history with Jimmy Carter and Alan Dershowitz, one can only hope that Gold will actually be allowed to attend and speak.
UPDATE 7:24 PM
I have been told and should clarify that although he will defend Israel, Dore Gold will not be acting as an official representative of the Israeli government.

I don't think there is any real value to the debate now. How do you prove a negative? I fear that Dr. Gold, for all his good intentions, can't do that. In the meantime, stay tuned.
Agreed with Norman, I think Goldstone should be shunned as the crook he is, not debated.
