'By the end of 2009, Iran will be capable of building a nuclear bomb'

The chief of the IDF's military intelligence research division Yossi Baidatz said on Tuesday that by the end of 2009, Iran will have the technological ability to build a nuclear bomb. The Times of London made a similar assessment on Monday.
Baidatz said that while Iran's behavior had been cautious, it was continuing to enhance its nuclear power, Israel Radio reported.

Baidatz added that the atmosphere in the international community was that of accepting that the Islamic republic would eventually have nuclear weapons.
It's crunch time.

For those of you who click through to the link, you will see that Prime Minister Netanyahu visited the Dimona nuclear reactor on Tuesday and that the reactor's general manager is Udi Adam. Long time readers may recall Major General Adam as the commander of northern forces during the Second Lebanon War, and as a man who was unjustly blamed for the failings of the Olmert-Livni-Peretz government in that war. I am glad to see that he landed in a good place after Olmert, Peretz and then-IDF chief of staff Dan Halutz attempted to scapegoat him for their own failings in that war.

The US has no more intention of stopping Iran than than it tried to stop North Korea.
