Abu Mazen opens his mouth and lies again

As some of you may recall, Tuesday is the day that the first Fatah conference in 20 years is being held in Bethlehem. I'm sure at least some you thought hoped dreamed that Fatah would decide to drop the violence and recognize enter into negotiations with Israel. Well, keep dreaming. The delegates to the Fatah conference are competing to make the most anti-Israel statements possible.

After they condemned Hamas and pledged to continue to investigate the cause of Arafat's death (rumor has it that OJ Simpson is going to be helping them to find the real killer), they came up with this little gem.
The PA president then went on to accuse Israel of denying its commitments. According to Abbas, the Palestinians and Israel reached a US-brokered understanding which included east Jerusalem, the Jordan Valley and parts of the Dead Sea, "but now the Israelis are trying to deny this and create facts on the ground in Jerusalem, claiming Jerusalem is united under their sovereignty."
Mahmoud, what was in that understanding about Jerusalem, the Jordan Valley and parts of the Dead Sea? And if you reached an understanding (and actually accepted it and signed it - the only ways I know to make an agreement), why did you tell the Washington Post two months ago that you rejected Ehud Olmert's (way too generous) offer? Isn't the truth that there is no signed agreement between you and Israel on Jerusalem, the Jordan Valley or the Dead Sea?

Three Israeli MK's - MKs Ahmed Tibi and Taleb A-Sanaa (UAL-Ta'al) and Muhammad Barakei (Hadash) - are also attending the conference.

That there is no signed agreement has little import; I'm sure Olmert made those concessions and for the Arabs, Europe, the State Department, Obama, and the MSM, that is all that counts. They will pick up "negotiations" where the last set of concessions ended.

Soon they will be negotiating for the size of the houseboat floating on the Med provided to the Jewish refugees from Tel Aviv.

The 3 MKs should be censured and thrown out of the Knesset upon their return. If I had my way, I would either arrest them for treason upon leaving Bethlehem or take away their precious Israeli citizenship. Censure and removal from the Knesset will do for now.

Finance Doc,

Actually, we used to joke that Shimon Peres believed that we could be a virtual country with a website and that we did not need to keep any land.

There used to be a time when Israel knew enough not to negotiate with terrorists seeking its destruction. Today, Israel is expected to arrange her "final exit" gracefully and without complaint. Jews are not even to be left without "end of the conflict" in the deal. That is the price Fatah won't pay for peace.

What could go wrong indeed
