Video: 'Palestinian refugee' says Arab states told them to leave

This is an interview with a 'Palestinian refugee' on 'Palestinian Authority' television. The 'refugee' says that the Arab states told them to leave.

As it happens, this 'refugee' comes from Jerusalem's Ein Kerem neighborhood. Let's go to the videotape, and then I have a good story to tell you.

When I worked in New York, every summer we had an experience called the 'firm outing.' The 'firm outing' took place at a country club in Westchester County, where we had use of all the facilities (golf course, tennis courts, pool etc.) for the entire day, followed by a dinner at night (at which I could eat nothing). I golfed for a couple of years. I was awful at it, but it was fun.

When I came to Israel in the '90's, one of the big firms in Tel Aviv tried to adopt the 'firm outing' concept. But there's only one country club in the entire country (and it's not the same place as the golf course), so they took us on a 'mystery' trip to Jerusalem and its environs (I kid you not - fortunately, they decided to give me a spot to meet up with them the night before rather than make me drag to Tel Aviv by 8:30 am). I met them on the road that runs from Mevasseret Tziyon to Hadssah Ein Karem (for those who know the area), and the first place they took us was a short hike at Nahal Sataf. At Nahal Sataf the (extreme leftist) guide (because the powers that be at this firm were VERY leftist) started telling us the alleged story of how the 'poor refugees' left Ein Karem.

Well the Israeli Left has a very different narrative of what happened at Ein Karem than the actual 'Palestinian refugee' you just saw. The Israeli Left told us that the 'Palestinians' fled from Ein Karem after hearing about the 'massacre' at Deir Yassin. Of course, there was no 'massacre' at Deir Yassin (there's another video there for those who are in the mood for videos today).

I wonder if the Leftist guide has changed her narrative now that even formerly Leftist historian Benny Morris admits that there was no mass expulsion of 'Palestinians' by the Jews. Somehow, I doubt it.

The point is that Israel not only did not create the Palestinian problem, Israel is not obligated to solve it.
