Dahlan: 'Arafat would condemn terrorist operations by day and do 'honorable things' by night'
Well, we all knew that Arafat never sincerely condemned terror operations, and Fatah thug Mohamed Dahlan confirms that in this video. But Dahlan also shows that the 'moderates' of Fatah still have not given up the terror option, something that might surprise some of their American supporters.Let's go to the videotape.
By the way, Dahlan is personally responsible for the murder of three American government employees in the Gaza Strip for 2003. But the Obama administration seems to like doing business with murderers anyway (see: Ahmadinejad, Mahmoud; Assad, Bashar).

I was honored to be the one to shoot the first bullet in 1965 [Fatah terror against Israel began in 1965], and having taught resistance to many in this area and around the world, defining it and when it is beneficial and when it is not... we had the honor of leading the resistance. We taught everyone what resistance is, including the Hezbollah, who were trained in our camps [i.e. PLO camps in the 60s]."[Al-Dustur, Jordan, Feb. 28, 2008]
Neither Arafat nor PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas ever condemned terror because it is wrong, but only because it is ineffective or because it damages Palestinian interests.

Considering Fatah is lead by extremists, peace is at best a hypothetical exercise. The Palestinians have always said moderate sentiments in English and been completely extreme in Arabic. And this sort of doubling dealing with Israel isn't going to change in the future.
What could go wrong indeed
