Israel tells France to buzz off
On Thursday, France summoned Israel's ambassador, Daniel Shek, and
chewed his ear off over Israel's construction project at the Shepherd Hotel in the Sheikh Jarrah section of Jerusalem. You'll be pleased to hear that Israel has told France to
buzz off.
"A solution to the settlements can only be reached through a comprehensive and final peace agreement," foreign ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor told AFP.
"In order to promote peace, France would do well to persuade the Palestinian Authority to resume negotiations" with Israel which have been frozen since the end of last year, he added.
Palmor said Israel's blockade of Gaza [which was included in Shek's dressing down. CiJ] was the result of "the state of war imposed by Hamas" as well as the "detention for more than three years of (Israeli-French) soldier Gilad Shalit."
Very nice, but I continue to believe that Shek should be recalled to Jerusalem for 'consultations.' I'm frankly sick and tired of every country that deems itself a two-bit power thinking it has the right to lecture us.

The rest of the world can have its opinion. Which hasn't changed Israeli minds since the Six Day War.
Heh
ISRAEL WON JERUSALEM BACK AFTER WINNING A WAR (1967) WHICH WAS STARTED BY BOTH JORDAN AND EGYPT AND THE PALESTINIANS. Y THE DEBATE OVER JERUSALEM NOW. ISRAEL HAS ALLOWED CHRISTIANS AND MOSLEMS ACCESS 2 THEIR HOLY SITES SINCE THEN. BEFORE THE 1967 WAR, ISRAELIS, JEWS HAD DIFFICULTY/ IMPOSSIBILITY IN HAVING ACCESS 2 THE 'WAILING' WALL.
