Iran preparing to attack Israel?
Iran has announced that it will begin an extensive exercise in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman to improve its air force's operational capabilities. The Iranian air force will begin an extensive exercise Monday in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman in order to raise "its operational and support capability," the official Iranian news agency IRNA reported on Sunday.If the idea of an air force flying 'around 3600 km' with refueling sounds familiar, it should. That's about the round trip distance from Iran to Israel if you can't fly over Iraq.
"In this maneuver there will be long-distance flights of around 3,600 km along with aerial refueling from tanker to fighter jet and from fighter jet to fighter jet," Reuters quoted IRNA as saying.
The exercise will also reportedly include Iranian jets flying at low altitudes over the waters of the Gulf to a distance of 700 kilometers.
There are American bases in Oman. If the President of the United States had - ahem - you know whats - he would order those planes shot down.
But he doesn't.
Hmmm.
What could go wrong?

Considering Khamenei wants the "dirty Zionists" to take a bath - he could probably use a distraction. I hope Israel is ready for anything the mad mullahs might send in the direction of Israel.

Don't let's forget that GONZO Station (Gulf of Oman Naval Zoo Operations) might actually be a direct Iranian target, together with 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain (a former Iranian province they want back).
Of course, the US Navy in the Gulf of Oman (Gonzo Station) could be the actual target- as well as 5th Fleet headquarters on Bahrain, a former Iranian province the mullahs want back.
