And you thought Obama was cheap

Remember the ridiculous DVD collection that American President Obama presented to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown? Well, 'moderate' 'Palestinian' President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen is even cheaper. Pope Benedict XVI is visiting Bethlehem today (where he celebrated a mass at the Church of the Nativity, which was once wrecked by 'Palestinian' terrorists) and Abu Mazen gave him about as cheap a 'gift' as you could find: a piece of concrete from Israel's 'security fence.'
PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas welcomed Pope Benedict XVI in Bethlehem in Wednesday morning, where his gift to the Catholic leader was a part of the cement separation-security barrier that Israel built to stop suicide bombers from blowing up soldiers and civilians.

Foreign media enthusiastically reported the visit, repeating Israeli leaders’ criticism of the Pope’s address at the Yad VaShem Holocaust Center but omitting reference to Monday night’s anti-Israeli outburst by a Muslim cleric in the pope’s presence.

“We have been suffering since the Nakba 61 years ago,” Abbas told the pope, using the Arabic word for the “catastrophe” of the re-establishment of the Jewish state and implying that the Palestinian Authority was a “people” for six decades. “On this holy land, there are people who continue to build separation walls instead of building bridges for connection,” he added.
The Pope also called for a 'Palestinian' state - but where?
"The Holy See supports the right of your people to a sovereign Palestinian homeland in the land of your forefathers, secure and at peace with its neighbors, within internationally recognized borders," the pope said.
Maybe the Pope meant in Jordan and Syria. After all, that's where the homes of the 'Palestinians' forefathers are.

But here's the funniest part of all:
The PA deployed 3,000 guards to ensure order and to prevent a repeat of the embarrassing incident during the 2000 visit by Pope John Paul, when Arabs called out in Arabic, “Allah is great.” Terrorists often use the same slogan when attacking Jews.
Heh. I wonder if they shut down all the mosque minarets while the Pope was in Bethlehem. Yes, that's what that wailing voice says five times a day from the minarets.

Carl - what the foreign and Israeli media won't tell people is the Palestinians ethnically cleansed Bethlehem of Christians.

And these are the same people who are up in arms when Jews move into new Jewish neighborhoods in the same region.

Don't let the sickening hypocrisy detain you. Since every one knows the Jews are the obstacle to peace, when they are gone, what could go wrong indeed

Now THAT's being cheap!

The Pope's speech to the "Palestinians" at a "refugee camp" was disgusting. He told them that they deserve a state within secure borders. Heh! That's the mantra usually reserved for Israel.

He especially felt sorry for Gazans under attack by Israel!!! He should have told them to build their economy and stop their vile Judeophobic propaganda. He should have used the opportunity to tell them to tear down the "refugee camp" inside their supposed territory and use the money from the millions they get in contributions to build new homes and infrastructure.

Actually, Israel made a mistake with this visit from the Vatican. We harped on the past, when instead we should have dragged the old Nazi to Sderot, and had him meet with children and families still horribly traumatized by the barrages of rockets for so many years. He should have shown the damage of the direct hits on so many private homes, factories, schools and businesses that have yet to be repaired - and for which nobody is giving money except the Israeli taxpayer and some charities.

We missed an opportunity. But after hearing what the old bastard said today, we should chuck him out, unceremoniously, as a persona non grata.
