US will attend Durban II?

Haaretz is reporting that the Obama administration is 'leaning toward' taking part in the Durban II summit in Geneva next week, lending American credibility to the anti-Semitic festival.
Senior U.S. officials in Washington and New York are leaning in favor of participating in the "Durban 2" UN-sponsored anti-racism conference scheduled to take place on April 20 in Geneva, diplomatic sources said on Sunday.

The diplomats, who share a close working relationship with the American delegation to the United Nations, informed leading Jewish officials in New York that Washington has increasingly become convinced of the need to dispatch representatives to the conference.

...

A senior Jewish activist who took part in some of the discussions with Western diplomats told Haaretz that he would not be the least surprised if the U.S. indeed decides to send an official delegation. The official said that while the U.S. pledged it would not participate, it was not an adamant opposition.
As might be expected, Obama is being pushed by his friends in 'human rights groups' on the left to participate in the conference.
"The Durban Review Conference is one of the most important international platforms for discussing the elimination of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerances," the activists wrote in a letter to the White House.

"Given the brutal history of slavery and Jim Crow in the United States, your Administration has much to contribute to this discussion," the petition read.

"A boycott would be inconsistent with your policy of engagement with the international community... How can your Administration engage in any manner with the international community if it has no representation at the discussion table?"
The joke is that Obama's fig leaf for attending is that the declaration no longer refers specifically to Israel. However, the declaration reaffirms the Durban I declaration, which was entirely about Israel.

The decision to attend Durban II is yet another in a series of despicable lows for this administration. It would not be much of a leap to refer to the Obama administration as Jew-hating and anti-Semitic. There is no scumbag on earth with whom this President will not 'engage,' and in the process he is sullying the good name of the United States as the patron of democratic values. He and his administration are worthy of the utter contempt of decent people everywhere.

The 9/11 terror attacks took place just a few days after Durban I. What will happen this time?

Its any one's guess but Durban II will be another orchestrated assault upon Israel. The only thing missing to make it easier for the US and the Europeans to attend this new Nazi Nuremberg rally is Israel won't be mentioned by name. But the intent, the substance and the atmosphere of the proceedings will remain the same. What it won't be about is fighting real racism that does exist in the world. Its now evident the Obama Administration wanted to attend all along. The fig leaf provided by the Durban II organizers gives it the excuse to do so. Is that another unfriendly move against Israel? Yes! Watch not what this Administration says, watch what it does. Actions speak louder than words.

I am wondering how long it will be before the US Jewish Community starts regretting and admitting that it made a mistake supporting Obama.
Unfortunately, the idiocy of the the US Jewish Community has no bounds and they will continue supporting this administration even as it tries to push Israel into committing suicide.
How any Jew can still support Obama is beyond comprehension.

Andre (Canada),

How any Jew can still support Obama is beyond comprehension.Actually, it's quite comprehensible. Those Jews who support Obama have for the most part replaced Judaism with Liberalism as their religion. They believe that God requires that we ask ourselves, "what is the Liberal thing to do?" That allows them to support Obama, adopt other trends of the day (like hating Israel and loving Iran) and still believing that it's the 'Jewish' thing to do.

If you search under "Judaism, liberalism," you will see that I have discussed this several times.
