Hamas applauds but 'knew nothing about it'
JPost reports that there are ten more Hezbullah terrorists hidden somewhere in Sinai and that their mission changed somewhere along the way from attacking Israeli tourists to smuggling weapons into Gaza. The men are thought to be Lebanese and connected to a group of 49 members of the cell that the government announced was plotting to attack Egyptian institutions and Israeli tourists.Meanwhile, Hamas, which cannot afford to offend Egypt, is trying to restrain its glee over what is happening.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to speak to the media, said the men had taken shelter in the central Sinai town of al-Nakhl.
Authorities fear the suspects may either try to escape north into Gaza some 120 miles away through the many secret tunnels or head south to the tourist resorts on the coast.

Sami Shihab, the chief suspect, admitted to his interrogators that his main objective was to smuggle terrorists and weapons into the Gaza Strip.
According to Asharq Alawsat, Shihab was originally instructed to target Israeli tourists in Sinai to avenge the assassination of arch Hizbullah terrorist Imad Mughniyeh. Shihab was later ordered to abandon the earlier plans and focus on smuggling explosives and Hizbullah fighters into the Gaza Strip and Israel.
Hamas spokesman Muhammad Nazal praised Hizbullah's actions, but denied his group knew anything about the planned smuggling operation. He added that it was the duty of every Arab to back Hizbullah.I guess this explains the warnings to Israelis that our government released last week to stay away from Sinai during the Passover holiday.
The good news in this story is that now that Egypt (hopefully) realizes that they too are targets, maybe they will actually take effective action against Hamas' weapons smuggling. Maybe.

Egypt hasn't changed how it views Israel. But it has changed how it views Hezbollah. There are unwritten rules about Arab solidarity one of them being that jihad isn't waged against fellow Arab regimes. Hezbollah broke that rule.
Proof positive that their "anti-Israeli" attitude has never been about "justice for the Palestinians", and that, once they would kill all the Jews, they will turn on each other.
