UN General Assembly President compares Israel to Nazis
At a briefing on Gaza held on Thursday, January 8 at the United Nations, UN General Assembly President Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann told everyone that 'some of his best friends' are Jews and then compared Israel to Nazis. This is not the first time Brockmann has done something like this, but let's go to the videotape.Unfortunately, with the Obama administration coming to power next week, there is little chance that the United States will decrease its support for this despicable organization.
And for the record, the 'Jews' in the picture that Brockmann held up are Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's friends from the detestable Neturei Karta.

The UN wonders why Israel ignores it. Clowns like like Ki Ban Moon and Miguel d'Escoto are two good reasons why Israel dismisses the world organization. It has picked its side. One can always say the Neturei Karta are the kind of Jews anti-Semites love to hang with and the NK is just as ignorant of Jewish history - on two occasions, religious Jews (there were no other kind around in those days) backed the restoration of Jewish sovereignty well BEFORE the coming of the Messiah. There's the Hasmoneans and the great Sage Rabbi Akiva who backed Simon Ben Kosiba's quest to restore the independence of Israel from Roman rule. There's no biblical or rabbinical decree I'm aware of that prohibits Jews from returning to their homeland and re-establishing their rule there. And someone who lives on a kibbutz and eats pork is already more Jewish than the NK will ever be, simply by virtue of living in the Land Of Israel, which is equal to all of the other commandments in the Torah put together. True, he's not observant. But at least his children will grow up to be Jews. Surely that should be reason enough for Haredi Jews to celebrate Israel's existence.
You might be interested in the fact that former UN General Assembly president Jan Eliasson, together with the other top brass in the Swedish Social democratic party took part in a rally saturday - where flags from Hamas, Hizbollah and even swastikas could easily be spotted. Israel should sue this vile, ignorant scumbag. That he makes a speech like this to an international body (as scurrilous as the UN is) is testimony to the horrendous bottom-feeding tactics that a such a "diplomat" can stoop to. The alternative is to save our money and withdraw from this den of fools, criminals and raving lunatics.
You can tell who is an anti-Semite when he tells you he loves Jews but then proceeds to tell you he disapproves of their actions. I think a Jew would respect someone more who told them he hated Jews to their face and wished to harm them. The kind of people who smile at Jews and then proceed to stick the knife in their backs when no one is watching is the very worst enemy of Jews. You can defend yourself against hate but not as well against treachery disguised as kindness.
As for the UN, I've thought Israel should remove herself completely from the cabal of Jew-haters and meddlesome busybodies. Its beneath the dignity of the Jew to legitimize such people and give them a platform to denounce Israel with a torrent of calumnies and slanders unheard of in the annals of mankind. Jews need to acquire self-respect. No one else is going to ever respect them when they mindlessly put up with that kind of abuse.
Ashan, why would people who pursue truth and justice - such are the Jewish people - give credence to people who tell lies and plot all manner of evil? The UN should be the last place in the world in which Israel should send a representative. Would it send a representative to a Nazi gathering or to a Hamas rally? That's exactly the point!
DETESTABLE DESPICABLE NETUREI KARTA
They call for the destruction of their fellows, and ally themselves with our vilest enemies, so there is only fitting that they are rejected by all.
They belong in...
CHEREM
CHEREM
CHEREM
Know who they are and have nothing to do with them.
NormanF,
There actually are objections to Jews returning to Israel before the Messiah comes. See Mesechet Ktubot 110-112.
But there are answers to all the objections. And in any event, even Jews who hold those objections to be applicable today (like Satmar) have also condemned NK for endangering Jewish lives.
