Israel Radio has just reported that Hamas fired a rocket or mortar at the western Negev (no more specific identification) a short time ago. The rocket or mortar landed in an open area./Crickets chirping as they wait for the Israeli government to order the IDF to respond

Israel Radio has just confirmed that this was a Kassam rocket.
