Breaking: Concern over Katyusha fire on Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria

Israel's Channel 2 television just reported that Israeli intelligence is concerned over the possibility of Katyusha rockets being fired at Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.

More details to follow.

UPDATE 9:14 PM

The fear is that Hamas has longer range rockets that can hit Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria from Gaza. If so, they would also be able to hit Tel Aviv (which has already been told to prepare safe rooms).

Someone said that Debka reports that Hamas has longer range Fajr rockets, although I think that maybe longer range Katyushas could make it.

I can only say that this report was a quick quip on the CH2 8PM news.

It was not mentioned on the 9PM CH1 news.

Perhaps it was a similar in intention to the warnings Tel Aviv received last week about starting to inspect shelters. But it was announced.

I think that's a wakeup call to the Israeli public. Hamas has the capability to launch rockets capable of hitting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. If it does, the Dizengoff cafe leftists now against the war are going to be singing a very different tune. There is definitely cause for concern.

they want to fire rockets at jerusalem, their so-called "third holiest city?" well, lets just hope they at least hit their little eyesore that they've got sitting on the temple mount.
