Welcome to 1984: Anti-Semitism to be redefined as 'Islamophobia'

For those of you wondering what's going on with the so-called 'Durban II' conference on 'racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia or related intolerance,' I have some positively Orwellian news for you. In a planning session for the conference that took place on Friday, Algeria announced that the conference's goal is to re-define anti-Semitism as 'Islamophobia' because 'traditional anti-Semitism' is no longer politically correct in 'rich countries' (even though it's obviously completely acceptable in Arab countries). Let's go to the videotape.

For those of you who have been taken in by the Islamic world's efforts to depict anti-Semitism as being directed against them as a 'Semitic' people (as the speaker attempted to do in the video above), please allow me to educate you:
Antisemitism (alternatively spelled anti-semitism or anti-Semitism; also rarely known as judeophobia) is the prejudice against or hostility toward Jews as a group. The prejudice or hostility is usually characterized by a combination of religious, racial, cultural and ethnic biases. While the term's etymology might suggest that antisemitism is directed against all Semitic peoples, since its creation it has been used exclusively to refer to hostility towards Jews.[1][2]

There is a more important distinction in my opinion. Antisemitism since at least WW2 and perhaps before was an irrational hatred of Jewish people irrespective of beliefs actions religion or race. It was a hatred of anyone defined by non jews as Jewish. In fact Hitlers rule of one Jewish grandparent was enough to consign somoene to death even if they had the German medal for valor in WW1 fighting for Germany and had never darkened the doors of a synagogue.

'Islamaphobia' is a synthetic term. To 'fear' a group actually based on its beliefs actions and intentions is in no way irrational. Those people (like myself) who wish to alert the world to the true nature of Islam and the seemingly near inevitable consequences of a more than 5% Islamic population are doing so based on facts in evidence. It does not apply to Arabs as a people nor does it apply to those who have left the faith of Islam or even to those people who may identify themselves as 'culturally Muslim' and have no interest in the religion or tenants much like a secular Jew or Christian.
In other words these two terms have nothing at all in common. One is irrational hatred of a group defined arbitrarily and the other is self defense.

Wth? These people are out to redefine history. We all know anti Semitism is a word used for irrational hatred of Jewish people. How dare these Islam-facists even be considered to be included in that. The muslims led by the Grand mufti of Jerusalem were hand in glove with Hitler during the 2nd world war. I am outraged at this 'want to be' twisting of history.

It's not like they're trying to disguise their intensions, no one wants to listen. Cause they are afraid of being Islamophobic.
