Government bans radio ad that refers to Gaza 'expulsion'
The government-owned Israel Broadcast Authority has refused to air a radio ad for the sale of Gush Katif memorial candles in connection with the upcoming third anniversary of the expulsion of the Gaza Strip's 10,000 Jews. The reason for the refusal is that the ad uses the Hebrew term geirush (expulsion) rather than the politically acceptable pinui (evacuation). A series of events will be held to mark the approaching third anniversary of Ariel Sharon's 2005 Disengagement from Gush Katif, in which Israel demolished 25 of its own towns with the stated purpose of improving its security situation.To read about the memorial events go here.
Funding for some of the memorials for the demolished towns was to come from the sale of Gush Katif memorial candles. But, the Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA) refused to allow the airing of a radio spot for the sale of the candles because it used the word "expulsion," instead of the official term "evacuation."
"The word 'expulsion' is used by a specific public sector," the IBA explained, "and therefore is identified with a specific political stance."
Nationalist organizations responded, "They are simply scared. They are trying to erase us, but we won't let them. A Gush Katif candle will be lit in every Jewish home, and we will all declare together: Never again will Jews in the Land of Israel be banished."

Israel's elite doesn't want to admit it committed a crime against the Jewish people. So naturally, its wants to sanitize its participation in it. For the record, the Jews Of Gaza did not want to leave, they were forcibly evicted against their will and their communities razed without their consent. Such a crime is unparalleled in Jewish history since it was done by Jewish hands. The Arabs could never have done what Jews willingly did to their own people.
Let's make sure its never forgotten and the perpetrators are never forgiven and get the justly deserved punishment some day. And its also important make sure what was done to the Jews of Gaza is never allowed to happen to any other Jew in Israel. Let the commemoration of the expulsion be for an everlasting memorial!

Sure it is. But only 'bad Jews' say expulsion. Just like only 'bad Jews' still refer to Fatah as terrorists.
I'm a 'bad Jew' (in their book). And I'm proud of it.
