This segment appeared on Hezbullah's al-Manar television on July 3o and it shows how Hamas and its Salah-a-Din Brigades have been spending their summer vacation: Military training and missile making. Note that the masked man claims that Hamas now has a missile with a 25-27 km range. The map at top left shows a 30 km range. That means that 27 km would definitely include Kiryat Gat (or Qiryat Gat as they insist on spelling it) and probably Ashdod - or at least its outskirts - as well. Ashdod is Israel's second largest port. If Hamas really has a missile with that range, it would represent a significant upgrade of their capabilities. Thanks to Ehud and Ehud and Tzipi for giving them the time to make the next battle even worse.
I wouldn't be surprised when Hamas finally develops a missle capable of hitting Tel Aviv. Only then will the Israeli elite finally awaken from its criminal folly. The only question left will be whether its too late.
I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Four of our children are married! Before I started blogging I was a heavy contributor on a number of email lists and ran an email list called the Matzav from 2000-2004.
