About Me
- Name: Carl in Jerusalem
- Location: Jerusalem, Israel
I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Four of our children are married! Before I started blogging I was a heavy contributor on a number of email lists and ran an email list called the Matzav from 2000-2004. You can contact me at: IsraelMatzav at gmail dot com

America is a center right country and has been for a long time. I don't think Americans want a President who doesn't understand its a dangerous world out there. And there won't be another Ronald Reagan waiting in the wings to reverse they kind of damage a President Obama could inflict upon America's credibility and standing in the world. For what its worth, pacifism is the errand of fools and as Charles Krauthammer writes this morning, soft power, when it comes to dealing with the world's evils, has clear limits.
Thanks,Carl.
He is a nightmare. How on earth was he even considered a viable candidate? The Democrats are despicable.
And November seems so far away..this is the worst election I can ever remember in my lifetime.
McCain has my vote, but I wish there was a better candidate. If he picks the right VP, then it can work.If not? I do feel that McCain will win, as the Hussein groupies awaken from their trance.
