What if they won't go?
This has to be the looniest idea I have heard in a long time. Israel's 'defense minister' Ehud Barak wants to evacuate 'Palestinian civilians' who reside in Gaza City to the southern part of the Gaza Strip so that he can then have the IDF attack the terrorists who remain in the city. What if some of the 'civilians' refuse to go? What if some of the 'civilians' who do go are actually terrorists? How many weeks is he planning to spend evacuating 'civilians'? How many Israeli troops' lives is he going to risk to carry out the evacuation of 'Palestinian civilians'? Is this any way to run a war?Defense Minister Ehud Barak is seeking legal approval to evacuate thousands of residents of Gaza City to locations in the south of the Strip to enable the IDF to attack terror infrastructure without hurting civilians, Channel 2 reported Wednesday evening. Why does the Olmert-Barak-Livni junta's 'cabinet' believe that 'our friends the Egyptians' - who were caught on tape helping Hamas smuggle weapons - have any interest in weakening Hamas?
The report came after the Security Cabinet decided Wednesday morning to act in an "ongoing and consistent" manner to end rocket attacks and other terrorist activity from the Gaza Strip. The cabinet held a special meeting to debate the response to ongoing rocket attacks on Ashkelon and the western Negev.
The ministers also decided that it would coordinate with various elements, including Egypt, in order to weaken the Hamas government without creating a humanitarian crisis.
Israel, they decided, will continue to further peace efforts while maintaining operational freedom to conduct counterterrorism measures and focusing on hasbara (public diplomacy) efforts to bolster Israel's media image.
And guess who the voice of 'sanity' is in this cabinet:
According to Israel Radio, Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz demanded that the IDF be sent on a large-scale operation to "crumble Hamas," but was overruled by the rest of the forum. For those who have forgotten, Mofaz was the defense minister who carried out Ariel Sharon's instructions to expel all the Jews from Gaza. Do you think he has any regrets? I doubt it.

I doubt any of those nitwits know how to run a war - much less than win one. If they were capable of doing so, the IDF wouldn't have been ordered out this Monday. As it stands, I think the government is looking for an excuse to do nothing, which is business as usual.
The IDF does indeed know how to conduct a war....we defeated the entire Arab world...in a mere six days.....while the PC USA has not managed to subdue the 2nd weakest Arab state....in six years.
Of course our mission is not to conduct a war, but to please the US Administration...and prevent an American Military "Intervention" to "force Israeli compliance" with the [Saudi] Roadmap.
Reality is sometimes uncomfortable.

Sounds like a transfer plan to me.
