The continuing saga of the Ein Bet Al Ma 'refugee camp'

On Tuesday, IDF Staff Sgt. Ben Zion Haim Henma HY"D, 21 of Moshav Nov in the Golan was killed while fighting 'Palestinian' terrorists in something that media reports refer to as the "Beit Ilma" 'refugee camp', but which my readers might better recognize by its Arabic name as the Ein Bet Al Ma 'refugee camp.'

DEBKAfile’s military sources report the battle between the IDF and Palestinian terrorist groups reached a ferocious climax this week after a more than two-month seesaw struggle for control. The various groups have made the fairly small Nablus camp a formidable bastion by working together and flooding it with weapons and fighters from across the West Bank.

Taking advantage of the Olmert government’s reluctance to mount a major military operation to extinguish this hub of violence, the Palestinian terror groups have rallied together in Beit Ilma for on-and-off attacks on Israeli forces and civilians and for planned forays into Israel. The IDF tactic of pinpointed strikes and arrest operations has successfully aborted such forays, but not prevented the continuous buildup of hostile Palestinian strength for a future onslaught.

One factor in the terrorists' fight against the IDF is not mentioned by DEBKA: the readiness of 'internationals' to serve as human shields for the terrorists. Yes, this is that 'refugee camp.' For those of you who may still think that the Rachel Corrie's of the world are harmless, please think again. They really do endanger Israeli lives.
