How we duped the West, by Iran's nuclear negotiator

The London Sunday Telegraph is reporting that the man who headed Iran's negotiations over its nuclear program with Britain, France and Germany for more than two years has laid out in detail how Iran 'duped the West' to allow the program to continue. (Hat Tip: Little Green Footballs)

In a speech to a closed meeting of leading Islamic clerics and academics, Hassan Rowhani, who headed talks with the so-called EU3 until last year, revealed how Teheran played for time and tried to dupe the West after its secret nuclear programme was uncovered by the Iranian opposition in 2002.

He boasted that while talks were taking place in Teheran, Iran was able to complete the installation of equipment for conversion of yellowcake - a key stage in the nuclear fuel process - at its Isfahan plant but at the same time convince European diplomats that nothing was afoot.

"From the outset, the Americans kept telling the Europeans, 'The Iranians are lying and deceiving you and they have not told you everything.' The Europeans used to respond, 'We trust them'," he said.

I have to wonder how many of their scientists trained in the West, and how many are here now, still taking courses vital to further work in nuclear science.

Why, especially after 9/11, Madrid, London, etc. is a student visa given to even 1 Iranian? And for that matter, one citizen of any islamic country?

There have been rumors for years that Iran was developing nuclear capability.

And those who flew the planes into the WTC on a day that changed our lives forever? Many trained here, in our universities, and got their pilots' licenses here. And 2, I believe ,were from Dubai; and the UAE will own 21 ports in the USA? The same UAE who support al quaeda?

This 'take a muslim to lunch' theory just makes me furious. They are the enemy, and Israel is the canary in the coal mine. It is far easier to see Israel as the target than for the world to admit that they, too, are targets. Meanwhile, an al-quada spokesman is warmly welcomed to Yale as a valid student.

I know that Iranians are not arabs, but they are nearly all members of the cult of islam, and their 'president' is an avowed enemy of Israel.

Iran has to be taken care of yesterday.
