Understanding Israeli anthropology

For those of you who have never lived here, here's a National Geographic video an education about Israeli anthropology.

Let's go to the videotape (Hat Tip: Shy Guy).

There is a story of a new American oleh who comes to Israel for the first time. walking down the road one day he sees an Israeli pull out a gun and shoot a gold-chain bedecked padestrian.

he turns on the Israeli and demands to know how he could shoot the other in cold blood.

"don't worry" he's told, "that guy is an Ars, and its open season now"

2 weeks later walking down the street in Bat Yam the new oleh sees an Ars up ahead, pulls out his gun and shoots him.

immediately he is surrounded by cops and arrested.

"but I thought it was open season on Arsim now" he explains as he is being led away.

"it is" says the cop, "but this area is a nature reserve, you can't shoot them here"

Funny, we have this same tribe here in the States. Could they be related?
