Iranians tried to use fake Israeli passports to emigrate to Canada

This is not the first time this sort of thing has happened. Seven Iranians have been arrested in Canada for trying to use faked Israeli passports to enter the country.
The family – either a couple or siblings, and five children – were arrested at the Vancouver International Airport. The Iranian family used the name "Solomons", while pretending to be an Israeli family supposedly residing in Rehovot
The family includes the mother, Mona Solomons, 48, the father or sibling Tomer, 40, and the children Nadine, 15, Narin, 11, Binyamin, 9, Marin, 6, and Nermin, 5.

All seven suspects came to Canada through a third country and not through Tehran. Once the immigration authority in Vancouver began suspecting the family, they sent their passports and information to the Israeli Immigration and Border Authority (PIBA).

A quick review revealed that the passports in the family's possession were either stolen or lost in the past to real Israeli citizens, and fabricated in accordance to the clients' details.

In the past, criminal agents in Iran made use of Israeli passport and were caught as individuals in different places in the world. This is the first time an extensive fraud of Israeli passports is made for an entire family. According to estimates, the Iranian citizens wished to immigrate to Canada using their Israeli passports, since Israelis are not required to have permits for entry, while Iranians cannot enter Canadian borders without visas.
The article goes on to describe how easy Israeli passports are to forge, and concludes that the seven Iranians will likely seek and may be granted political asylum. Read the whole thing.

Meanwhile, if you are a dual citizen, the Israeli authorities seem more concerned with getting your foreign passport on the record  than they are about improving the counterfeitability of Israeli passports.

When I came back to Israel in May, the Israeli airport authorities asked for my US passport for the second time in recent years.

There are two possible explanations for this - neither of which is particularly reassuring. One is that they want to use it the next time they need passports for the Mossad. The other is that they want to get your foreign passport on file so that you cannot use it to leave the country in the event that the authorities issue an order barring you from leaving the country. In Israel, you don't have to be a criminal to be barred from leaving the country. Owing money to someone is often more than enough.

Iranian using fake Israeli passport arrested in Nepal

An Iranian using a false Israeli passport was arrested by the Israeli embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal and turned over to Nepalese authorities.
The man was reportedly planning a series of terrorist attacks against both the embassy and Israeli tourists in Kathmandu, Channel 2 reported.

The man, who was arrested on April 13, was identified as Mohsin Khosravian. He was handed over to the Kathmandu police.

Security officials at the embassy suspected the man, who was carrying a tourist map of the Lazimpat area, was scouting the facility with harmful intention.

...

He hid his Iranian passport and used a fake Israeli passport instead when arriving at the Tribhuvan International Airport on April 3. Investigation found he used his original passport to enter Malaysia on March 31 and apparently acquired the fake Israeli passport in Kuala Lumpur.

Mohsin claimed that after facing loss in his garment business, he arrived in Nepal intending to go to Europe to seek asylum. He was discovered when his Thai wife and two of his Iranian relatives arrived in Kathmandu from Bangkok, where Mohsin has been residing for five years.
I wonder how many Iranians and other terrorists are residing in third countries waiting to be 'activated.'

Report: Mossad still using British and French passports

According to a report from deep behind the Times of London paywall, the Mossad continues to use British and French passports, complete with 'sexy women' to induce IDF soldiers on active duty to allow such use.
According to the British newspaper, there have been several occasions when foreigners who immigrated to Israel have been asked to "lend" their passports to the Israeli intelligence agency.

The daily said new evidence indicates that foreign nationals in Israel continue to allow Mossad to use their passports — "on many occasions willingly."

Though it never admitted that Mossad agents were behind the Hamas terrorist's death, Israel assured London its intelligence agency would stop using British passports.

"Matthew," who moved to Israel from London in 2009 and joined the IDF shortly afterwards, told The Times that just before his first week of army duty he was approached by a young woman from Mossad and asked if he was "committed to the State of Israel."

"She was really, really friendly. She gave me a recommendation of a good bar in Tel Aviv, and her favorite place for hummus," he said.

When she asked if Matthew was willing to do "a small thing to help", such as, for example, lend his passport, he did not refuse, The Times reported.

He said: "She pointed out that I wouldn’t need it for the next year or so. I’d be doing basic training and everything for the army. So I said 'yes’ — I was in that frame of mind of strong Zionism, you know?"

According to the report, Matthew received his passport back after 18 months of army service, and was surprised to find stamps in it from Turkey and Azerbaijan, countries that he had never visited.

"She told me it would maybe be a good idea not to go there . . . for the time being," he told the British newspaper.
I wonder how many smart IDF soldiers have taken dumb British reporters for a ride to nowhere.

Heh.

Libyan rebels fear Israelis

Maybe the Brits should have sent James Bond (pictured here with an Aston-Martin). Maybe it wouldn't have helped.

A group of British agents from SAS and MI6, who traveled to Benghazi to meet with the Libyan rebels, were caught and sent back to England with their tails between their legs.

But here's the funniest part.
According to Guardian sources, the British intelligence and special forces unit were caught near the al-Khadra Farm Company, 18 miles (30km) south-west of Benghazi. A senior member of Benghazi's revolutionary council said: "They were carrying espionage equipment, reconnaissance equipment, multiple passports and weapons. This is no way to conduct yourself during an uprising.

"Gaddafi is bringing in thousands of mercenaries to kill us, most are using foreign passports and how do we know who these people are?

"They say they're British nationals and some of the passports they have are British. But the Israelis used British passports to kill that man in Dubai last year."
What, they want the Israelis to come to Benghazi to help them? Or do they fear we'll help Gadhafi? Heh.

Read the whole thing.
