Two Druse villagers indicted for murdering wounded Syrian
Two Israeli Druze from the Golan Heights village of Majdal Shams have been
indicted for murdering a wounded Syrian after they broke into an ambulance transporting him back in June and
murdered him. This is from the first link.
The defendants, 48-year-old Bashira Mahmoud and 21-year-old Amal Abu
Salah, can be seen in video of the attack beating and stoning one of the
wounded Syrian men as he lied motionless on the pavement outside the
ski village of Neve Atib on the night of June 26th, the indictment
states.
The indictment details how the ambulance carrying the two
Syrian men – wounded in fighting in the country’s civil war – was
passing through Majdal Shams at 9:15 p.m., escorted by a military police
cruiser, when it was blocked by an ATV, after which dozens of locals
approached the ambulance and began checking who it was carrying. The
military police told the crowd the wounded men were IDF soldiers, but
the mob did not believe them and began to pound on the vehicle,
shattering the back windshield. The ambulance driver and the military
police managed to flee towards Neve Atib where they stopped in the
parking lot of a local hotel awaiting approval to continue on.
After
a few minutes, an IDF vehicle with troops arrived, as did dozens of
Druse villagers, many of them wearing masks and carrying sticks and
poles and stones. They then blocked the vehicles in and charged the
ambulance, tossing aside the IDF soldiers trying to protect it.
The
soldiers fired in the air and managed to scatter the mob temporarily,
but they returned and pulled the wounded Syrians out of the ambulance
through the shattered windshield and began to beat them with metal and
wooden sticks and stones.
One of these was Abu Salah, the
indictment states, who “repeatedly and with great force beat the wounded
in his upper body with the intent to kill.” He also threw a stone at
the wounded man, while Mahmoud “approached the wounded man and hurled
large stones at him with great force repeatedly,” with the intent to
kill, the indictment states.
Both of the defendants were allegedly caught on video attacking the men, according to the indictment.

Suspects arrested in Druze attack on ambulances in Golan Heights
Nine Druze from Israel and the Golan Heights have been arrested and charged with the Monday
lynching of two wounded Syrians, who were being brought to Israel by ambulance for treatment, in the Golan Heights near the Syrian border.
Inflamed by media reports suggesting some of
the hundreds of wounded Syrians who have been admitted to Israel for
medical care belong to jihadi rebel groups fighting the Druze in Syria,
the crowds of Druze blocked two army ambulances for inspection.
One
ambulance managed to escape with crew and patients unharmed. In the
other, a Syrian casualty was killed and another seriously wounded in
what Israeli officials described as a lynching. Two troops accompanying
them were also injured.
Radical
Islamists see the Druze, whose religion is an offshoot of Islam, as
apostates to be combated. Druze in Syria and many in the Golan Heights,
which Israel captured from Syria in 1967, have long been loyal to
President Bashar al-Assad.
Damascus's official
news agency SANA on Tuesday described those behind the lethal ambulance
attack as "heroic Syrian young men" and alleged they had targeted
wounded insurgents from the al Qaeda-linked Nusra Front.
Israel's stated policy is to offer medical treatment to Syrians regardless of possible affiliation to armed groups.
Druze communal and spiritual leaders from Israel
and the Golan mobilized to stem further flare-ups, issuing an edict on
Tuesday warning any Druze engaging in such violence that they risked
ostracism from the close-knit sect.
The West has never understood how much of the Middle East is tribal and clan-based. The 'countries' in the Middle East were creations of the era following World War I, and to this day, most of these peoples' loyalty is to their tribes and clans and not to the countries in which they nominally live. The Druze support Assad because they are a minority like him (Assad is an Alawite) and because they fear the Islamists (who consider them apostates) even more.

Video: IAF calls off strike against 'Palestinian' terrorist after he runs into an ambulance
For those of you who thought the earlier post about
Hamas using ambulances to shield terrorists was an old story, it's not. Here's a video posted to the IDF YouTube account on Friday.
The IDF was prepared to target a Palestinian terrorist in Gaza, but called off the strike after watching him enter an ambulance.
Let's go to the videotape.

Day after day... 'Palestinians' throw stones at Magen David Adom ambulances
Maybe we should just let injured 'Palestinians' die if their comrades continue to behave this way....
Jameel reports on a recent outbreak of incidents in which Magen David Adom
ambulances have been stoned.
In what has become a daily occurrence, Palestinians are routinely
throwing rocks at Magen David Adom ambulances, smashing windshields and
seriously endangering the MDA medical crews.
Despite that MDA ambulances and medics treat wounded without bias to
race or religion, Palestinians target these life saving efforts, even
when the wounded are Palestinians.
Over the past few days:

Outrageous: MDA removes logo from ambulances in Judea and Samaria

Four months ago, Magen David Adom - the local equivalent of the Red Cross - denied that its ambulances were being made to
look like the one above when deployed in Judea and Samaria. Now,
MDA has admitted it lied.
The Red Cross representative confirmed on Israel Army Radio that MDA has agreed to remove its logo from its ambulances in Judea and Samaria and has committed itself to avoid providing service to these areas. As a result of the agreement between MDA and the PA Red Crescent, MDA will receive international recognition as an emergency response organization, with benefits and budgets unavailable until now.
MKs Dr. Michael Ben Ari and Dr. Aryeh Eldad (National Union) call upon the worldwide supporters of MDA to avoid financial and blood donations to the organization. Blood donations can be made directly to the Hospital blood banks.
Knesset Member Aryeh Eldad (National Union) is
furious.
MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) responded to the Red Cross representative confirmation that MDA will no longer provide service beyond the Green Line. “MDA lied when it said the agreement with the Red Cross and the Red Crescent wouldn’t affect service to Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.
“MDA must announce that the agreement is void. Otherwise, we will call upon all MDA donors to send their money to emergency response organizations that do not cater to anti-Israeli demands. We will also act to cancel the status of MDA as the national rescue organization, and to take away its rights and State financial support."
As I wrote four months ago, it's time for MDA to leave the Red Cross permanently.

Why do the 'Palestinians' stone ambulances that are treating 'Palestinians'?

On Saturday, a Magen David Adom ambulance that was evacuating a seriously injured 'Palestinian' was
stoned in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya, which is on the back side of Mt. Scopus, overlooking the Maaleh Adumim highway.
At the time, I did not blog it, because it seemed totally routine to me. For many years, IDF ambulances operating in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria have been bullet-proofed and equipped with shatterproof windows, and paramedics operating in Judea and Samaria (at least) routinely wear bulletproof vests. All of these measures were taken as a result of experience during the Oslo terror war (2000-03). That's the reality with which we live here.
But the story got picked up in the international media and by a number of bloggers. And a lot of people are
asking why.
I guess people can't understand that the 'Palestinians' are anxious to die - or to have their own die - just to have the chance to try to kill Jews. They drink those suicidal impulses with their mothers'
breast milk.
