It's Halftime America

Here's a Clint Eastwood commercial for Chrysler that's causing a lot of controversy in the US. It was played at Halftime of the Super Bowl (I watched the game without commercials, so I did not see it until I saw references to it and went and found it on YouTube).

The reason it's so controversial is that a lot of people see it as supporting President Obama - a charge that Eastwood denies (Hat Tip: Memeorandum).

Let's go to the videotape.

When you're getting blown out at Halftime, you get a new game plan. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for those of us who would like to see him defeated in November), Obama is closing his eyes to the scoreboard and continuing with the old game plan.

Giants just a little overconfident

The Giants posted the graphic above on their website on Saturday afternoon. A little overconfident, don't you think?

They're going to get their butts kicked by Israel's football team - the New England Patriots - tonight. You heard it here first.

Heh.

We're going to the Super Bowl!

Did I mention to you all yet that Israel's football team is going to the Super Bowl?

It was so neat listening to the Israel Radio announcer at 2:00 am struggling to say Nyoo Englind Patreots.

Okay, but I have to agree with Tom Brady's assessment of the game (which I watched with the worst livestream connection evah on my laptop):
"I sucked pretty bad today, but our defense saved us," Brady said.
Tom better play more like last week in the Super Bowl.

Isn't it a little early for this?

Isn't it a little early for this?
After losing in the AFC divisional round last month, the Ravens have been given 14-to-1 odds to win the Super Bowl in Indianapolis.

The Green Bay Packers, who beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl on Sunday, are favored to repeat with 7-to-1 odds. The other top favorites are: New England (8/1), Pittsburgh (10/1) and San Diego (12/1).
For those who missed it, Brady had foot surgery right after the Patriots lost in the divisional round. But he was the first ever unanimous choice for league MVP last week.
